Hair Braiding History

The country of origin of the african braids and african hair braiding styles, as implies the name, is Africa. The first masters of  making African braids were the ancient egyptians. Around 5000 years ago, numerous micro braids were at the peak of popularity among the people of Egypt. Pharaones, goddesses and people of the high status had such hair styles.

To some extent african braids were related with hot weather, because in the heat the braids were very comfortable. But it's not just the climate! Additionally, braids were the sign of status of the egyptian, and the length of dreadlocks or braids was the important indicator: the longer the braids, the higher the status. Even at those ancient times, braids were not created on the basis of own hair only: the animal wool and vegetable fibers were added to design the braids.

In our time, long braids are available not only to egytpian pharaohs and not onlty to african people, as African braids hair styles are fashionable, unique, original, spectacular and glamor. This hairstyle is for those, who are tired of the usual style, who is not afraid to improvise, try new things and who likes to be in a centre of attention. The african braids are being done with the help of different synthetic materials, such as kanekalon, or other.

If you decided to become a unique egyptian goddess - you are at the right direction!
